I'm not certain exactly what their relationship is, but I've done a lot of experimenting with the 3D Solex versions, and they're quite impressive. I used mine extensively during the COVID PPE 3D printing push in early 2024 and they performed well. WebI have since upgraded to dual drive (Bondtech clone with 5:1 gearbox) and it is much better, basically zero slippage ever, flexibles do better in it as well. WebPrint quality is way more better now. So guys, if you dont want to lose time messing with an extruder, do not buy a dual gear or a cheap bmg clone. Your oem extruder is way more stable than these both. If you have enough budget go with a Bondtech extruder (85-90 usd) or only buy a clone extruder from trianglelab (27-32 usd). The published Steps Per MM are extremely accurate and should need no changes when used as direct drive.
