WebThe SCC dragon boat team is called the SCC Phoenix. Although we aren’t competing this year are still actively practicing. Our boat has room for 20 paddlers plus a drummer and steersperson. The drummer is a ceremonial position that also helps keep the cadence of our strokes. The steersperson is the command caller and steers the boat. WebDragon Boat coaches have included Jeremy Fowlie (1999-present), Haigh Gledhill (2000 – 2024), and Bruce Bellaire (2016 – 2024).
